Our Story

How it all began…and where it’s going!

Welcome to our story!

As a military family, we have moved over 20 times in 25 years! We have lived all over the United States and have created a lot of wonderful memories, many of which included going to u-pick pumpkin patches and apple orchards.

In 2018, we moved to our four acre property in Montana and began to embark on a journey of making our special memories a possibility for others in our community. With the help of family and friends, we planted over 60 apple trees and dedicated a large patch and garden to start growing over 30+ squash and pumpkin varieties. In the span of 5 years, we were able to grow and sell over 30,000 lbs of produce and donate over 7,000 lbs to veterans, first responders, and law enforcement. More importantly, we donated thousands of pounds of produce to help feed our local community.

We feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to share with others and we will forever be grateful to all that God allowed us to build and support in that community, however, our work is not done. Young Farms is going urban!

Taking what we learned on our 4 acre farm, we have decided to go back to the city where the temperatures are a little more manageable and the growing season is a bit longer. Facing the new and exciting challenges of being able to grow our own food on .18 acres, we are excited to plant and grow our urban garden landscape. Maximizing the square footage that we have, we hope to successfully grow snowsweet apples, apricots, plumcots, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, kiwis, blueberries, calendula, comfrey, lemon balm, lavender, peppermint, and of course, PUMPKINS!!! Although we won’t have the full farm experience, we are excited to take what we can grow and turn it into high quality products that we can share with you!

We are so excited to serve our new community and we really appreciate you supporting us along the way. We look forward to meeting you at our next market!

Grow your happy!
